SECURITY
Designed to make a prepared response harder, not impossible
A Human Check combines a short-lived prompt, camera recording, complete attempt history, on-device signals, capture context, and direct human review.
Controls used by the current product
- Separate recipient and reviewer secrets
- A challenge issued shortly before recording
- Camera capture without a gallery-upload option
- Up to seven sealed attempts, released as a complete session
- Short retention and private, unlisted review pages
- Automatic movement, voice, face, hand, and speech signals where supported
- Direct review of every submitted video
Known limits
A browser-only MVP cannot guarantee detection of virtual cameras, sophisticated real-time deepfakes, coercion, modified clients, or forged client-side signal data. Production hardening requires server-side media analysis, rate limiting, abuse monitoring, and stronger device and presentation-attack controls.
